Siobhan Merriman is a PhD Student in Human Factors Engineering within the Transportation Research Group of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton.

Siobhan graduated from Royal Holloway University with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, followed by an MSc in Human Factors and Ergonomics at The University of Nottingham.

Funded by the Institute of Advanced Motorists and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, her PhD project involves designing, developing, testing and validating a training system to support drivers when they interact with Level 4 Autonomous Vehicles.
